Tell me more ...!

Evidence of Jewish life in Neuss

Sederteller, Jad und Kidduschbecher aus der Sammlung des Clemens Sels Museums Neuss

On the occasion of the anniversary "1700 years of Jewish life in Germany", the Clemens Sels Museum Neuss shows the studio exhibition "Tell me more ...! Testimonies of Jewish Life in Neuss".

Some Judaica from the museum's own collection, such as a Seder plate, a Kiddush cup or a Jad, will be presented and supplemented by private loans, such as a Hanukkah chandelier. There is asponsor foreach object. They explain in a short film what significance the object selected in each case plays for them in the practice of their faith. These insights are intended to serve as an impetus for further discussions and promote a lively encounter with Jewish life in Neuss.

The project is accompanied by Bert Römgens and Tanya Rubinstein-Horowitz. The production company Draw-A-Change could be won for the cinematic realization.

The exhibition is included in the official program of "Festjahr 2021: Jüdisches Leben in Deutschland".
