Especially when working with younger children, it is important to offer emotional access and points of contact. In this way, facts are understood better and faster, because emotions and learning are coupled. Figures, cuddly animals or dolls help the children in various formats, serve as friendly-playful mediators of knowledge and thus awaken the joy of art. Thanks to a multi-sensual perception of the museum objects, our educational offers for daycare centers are particularly appealing to small children and open up diverse and individual access possibilities to art and cultural-historical objects for our youngest museum visitors.
For this purpose, the Clemens Sels Museum Neuss offers many exciting topics.
The program usually lasts 60-90 minutes and can be booked with us from € 100 for a maximum of 20 children including material costs on the desired date.
Bookings can be made by phone at 02131 904141 or at service@clemens-sels-museum-neuss.de.

Join Moni Museum Mouse on an exciting exploration of the museum. Actually, our Moni is a shy animal, but she likes children very much. That's why she not only shows you her favorite works and tells you many exciting stories about them, but even lets you take a look behind the scenes of the museum. In this way, you will discover hidden corners and secret places to which not even our adult visitors normally have access!
Practical part
Afterwards you will make your own treasure chest.
Duration: up to 60 min. / up to 90 min.

Guide
What is that noise? Didn't a duck just quack there? You can not only look at the painting The Danube Boatmen by Erich Grams, but also listen to it. Use the sounds to discover people, animals and objects in the painting. You will quickly notice that they look very different in the picture than in real life... In addition, there are things that you can touch, feel, sniff, hear, or even taste that match the painting. Piece by piece and with all your senses you can discover the whole picture.
Practical part
Afterwards you will create a picture frame with finger paint.
Useful hints
This format is about the intense and accurate perception of the museum objects with as many senses as possible. The little ones can listen to painted pictures and thus discover the whole (painted) picture for themselves piece by piece.
Our suggestion: Make an exhibition in the kindergarten and use the frames designed in the museum to present the children's pictures - e.g. their favorite animal.
Duration: 90 min.
Costs: 125,- €
Guided tour
Are you ready for a colorful adventure? Together with yellow Emma, blue Lukas and red Hanna, you will dive into the colorful world of Heinrich Hoerle's Rhenish Landscape. On a joint journey of discovery through the picture, you'll experience great stories and learn more about the many favorite colors of Emma, Lukas and Hanna.
Practical part
Afterwards, you can stamp for all you're worth and try out exactly what happens when you mix different colors together.
Useful hints
This program format is mainly about playfully recognizing and naming colors as well as first experiences with the creation of new colors when mixing them. In a joint discussion, the motifs of the painting Rheinische Landschaft (Rhenish Landscape ) by the painter Heinrich Hoerle are made accessible to the children. Based on the observation of the painting, a story develops around three figures that the children can insert into the scene of the painting as magnets. This sensitizes the children's perception of color.
Our suggestion: By laminating the pictures created in the practical part, a beautiful placemat can be made for the children in no time at all.
Duration: 90 min.
Costs: 125,- €
Leadership
Oh dear! Emil Eule is looking for his animal friends. They are having a little fun and have hidden in various works of art in the museum. Can you help Emil find them again?
Practical part
Emil's reunion with all his animal friends is celebrated! With craft scissors and crayons, you can now create your own party animal masks.
Useful hints
Emil Owl asks the kids to help him find his friends, so they are actively involved in the scavenger hunt. To make the search easier, Emil gives them a little bag of clues and riddles that appeal to children's different senses in a fun and age-appropriate way. Each puzzle is designed differently to avoid boredom while puzzling. Through the clues and riddles provided by Emil Eule, children gain a playful approach to the artwork and the animal they are looking for. The concept is modular, so that the scavenger hunt can be finished earlier or all bags can be played through, depending on the age structure, speed and concentration ability of the group.
