Director Dr. Uta Husmeier-Schirlitz offers a special look behind the scenes. The concept and history of the newly staged collection presentation will be explained.
The starting point of Goekhan Erdogan's works is the self-portrait, or more precisely his own passport photo, reproduced by printing. From this, the artist forms blocks of different sizes, which he then works on further using various woodworking techniques. In particular, the marble-like appearance of the partly velvety-smooth surfaces of his works underscores the sculptural quality of the objects. Experience the artist personally in dialogue with curator Anita Hachmann.
Goekhan Erdogan studied at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach am Main and at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main. He has already participated in numerous exhibition projects at home and abroad.
